Much like that of another MAJOR manufacturer, and as you noted, "the blades lock in place by sliding under the tip and are also held by a collar at the rear." I find this to be a somewhat unpredictable and 'chancy' method of attaching the blades.
I can't tell you how many times we have found blades lying on the floor and in the shop's broadhead targets using this design. If your broadhead just slightly comes loose on the arrow, there is a possibility of losing blades.
