Default RE: RED DOT SCOPES

I wanted to shoot the Knight Wolverine II LK-93 with the Bushnell RED DOT some more and try the 250 grain Barnes Expanders. Since my tree stand is about 35 yards from a great trail crossing I sighted in there. I used three Thompson Center Mag Express 240 grain XTP's with 80 grains of Goex FFFg and was very happy with the 35 yard group. I then switched over to the Barnes Expanders. Needless to say after the third shot at that distance I was very pleased with the results of that group.

I then cleaned the barrel with some Rusty Duck patches and went back to 75 yards with the portable bench rest. I fired the first four and was very happy with the results at 75 yards. I then changed to the cross hair reticle for the fifth shot and was disappointed when it threw the shot a little. I am sure this is because the cross hair is not as fine as the 3 M.O.A. dot I was using.

I believe this rifle is ready for deer season. The 250 grain Barnes Expanders on top of 80 grains of Goex FFFg will be more then enough for any whitetail that happens by.... I am impressed to say the least with this RED DOT.
