Default RE: clearifier w/pins

Jerry: I'm not farsighted, but at 52, with corrective lenses for distance, my pins are blurry or have a "starburst" around them if they are much closer than 3 ft. That said, one of my biggest shooting problems is concentrating too much on my pins. If I concentrate on the target, and let the pins blur and "wander" as they will (long as it isn't too much) I can shoot as well as I ever could. When I am shooting badly, and flyers are happening too often, I usually am thinking about and focusing on the pins too much. I know that's not what you were looking for, but that has helped me. I also do not use a peep sight anymore.

I did see an ad for a device called a "verifier" in Lancaster Archery's catalog. It showed pics of a deer with blurry pins, and another where both were sharp. I'm not sure how the lens in the peep could do what it says it does (both things in focus at the same time), but they had them if you are interested. The price is a little salty though.

I can see how a clarifier could clear up a scope image that is relatively close, since the scope alters the apparent distance of the target anyway. Not sure how a lens in the peep could make the pins (30 something " away) and the target (20-40 yards away) in focus at the same time, at least to my eyes, it seems impossible.
