I have a Buckmaster G2 and for the last two years, I haven't used one at all. It's quiet and I like having a lightweight bow but I have noticed lately that it is a pain to keep steady. (Had rotator cuff surgery Dec. '03 ) I was at my local range and a guy let me try his target bow stabilizer. The thing weighed 18 ozs.! I have to admit that my bow was very steady with it on there. I just bought an 8 oz. stabilizer and am going to try it. I think the extra weight will help me keep the thing steady.
