I have hunted there all my life, around the cranberry lake area. there is plenty of state land to hunt right off of route 3. if you want to rough it, you can boat it down to the end of cranberry lake and hunt there, or there is an outfitter in town that will run you and your gear down the end of the lake and check on you while you are there. can't tell you too much more of you might be sitting in my lap.

i am heading up there during muzzleloading season this year for a week.
