We have a pretty early start for rifle deer here if you are willing to hunt different areas and hunt other species besides whitetail. For example we are allowed to hunt whitetail in regular elk season provided we posess an elk tag. Elk opens the middle of september, therefore i start rifle hunting deer around 13th of September each year. Once elk season closes a rifle season in a provincial park opens end of Sept and runs till December. The main season on the farmland does not open till begining of November but for those folks like me who can't get enough hunting we will start rifle deer hunting in the next week or 2.
