Not sure what the winds were while I was in the tree, but the weather station in State College, PA near where I live registered a 68 MPH gust one evening a few years back while I was hunting. I knew the winds were howling and it was snapping limbs off tree's around me. I decided to leave and get out of there shortly after a big pine snapped off a couple hundred yards behind me.

I've also rifle hunted in some windy, nasty snowy days where it put down a couple inches an hour. Thats was pretty cool. The snow laid all over me and gave me good camo.
