I bought a Rem 710 in 30-06 to use as trade goods only. The bolt seems very smooth and the detachable mag is certainly a handy item. I believe that this rifle may be fine in the hands of the budget hunter who goes after local deer and not for a hunter paying a lot for a hunt and going far from home to take a trophy. The M710 is what it is: an inexpensive trade-off in terms of quality and possibly reliability.
