RE: Swans?
The Swans that are hunted are Whistling Swans. The Trumpeter Swans are protected and after 5 are killed in one season, the season closes to protect them. The Whistling Swans primarily inhabit the west coast, and around the Chesapeake Bay area. I talked to one person, about it, and he said it is a lot like goose hunting. I guess I will just have to apply for a tag and see how I can do. The season is long enough to allow plenty of time to try for the birds several times and learn from previous hunts.
