Hello, just wondering how many people hunt swans?

Here in Nevada there are 650 tags available every year to hunt the big birds, just wondering if there was anyone who hunts them or has hunted them in the past? What kind of techniques are used to hunt them? Is it like goose hunting? Duck hunting? Never hunted them before, but the application period ends the middle of September, and the season is October 16th January 5th of next year. That would give me plenty of time to hunt the birds with no problem.

Well, any advice on how to hunt the birds would be appreciated. Other waterfowl just does not look very promising this year, as there is not much water around where I live. I will mostly be able to hunt chukar, sage grouse, rabbits, and varmints such as jack rabbits, coyotes and crows this year.
