Default RE: need help bad

hntr, I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask another question. What is your wingspan or height. Wingspan is measured fingertip to fingertip with your back to a wall. It is usually close to your height. Divide this figure by 2.5. To have a CORRECT drawlength of 31" you would have to have a wingspan of 78" (6'6"). I hope you are this tall or someone sold you a bow that doesn't fit you well. If the bow's drawlength is not right then anything else doesn't matter. Too long a draw is usually normal for most people. They never get the accuracy they should because of it. And they are always looking for a magic arrow or something when all it is is a bad fitting bow.

Now to the arrows. You're slightly overspined but not greatly so. In fact, a little on the stiff side is better than underspined. You need to paper tune starting at about 4' from the bow. Make adjustments as necessary using Easton's Tuning and Maintenance Guide. Do not assume that your nock and rest are installed properly. Using a string loop your arrow should be approximately square to the string or just slightly high. All bows are a little different. Tilt the WB so your arrows are passing through it squarely.

Frankly if you are this new to archery I'd take it back to the shop to get some help tuning it. And pay attention and ask questions so you learn how to do this yourself. It's a great confidence builder when you can get a bow shooting well.
