If you would have fired the savage ML after removing it from the stock it ends up at the same place each time .I don't remove the barrled action from the stock to clean . I have shoot both 777 and some of the recomended smokless loads ,I am the limiting factor . My Savage ML is dead on at 128 yds ( my backstop is 128 yds) ,getting 1 1/2" groups with my hunting load.
