Of all the projectiles I shoot in all my different rifles, Goex will shoot as good or better then the other powders. This is not true all the time mind you. Here is a good example of where Triple Se7en seemed to shoot a better group then the Goex. I also have a .54 caliber sidelock that shoots roundball excellent with Triple Se7en but it does almost as good with Goex FFFg. You would not want to live on the difference between the two.

I started using Goex for reasons of cost. I used to shoot only Pyrodex or Pyrodex P. Then I started shooting Triple Se7en and liked the way it shot also. Well I bought what I thought would last me for the year at the anual Wal Mart sell all the black powder stuff off sale but I guessed wrong. When I went to get more powder they did not have any. The other stores were charging almost double what I payed before for the stuff from Wal Mart. Being the way I am, I ordered a case of Goex on line from Powder Inc. thinking that would hold me over. Well I started shooting the Goex and was getting some excellent results, so I decided to stick with the stuff.

The Goex FFFg still produces fowling but not all that bad. After all we did not get in this sport to keep out fingers clean. We have powder smears, fowling smears, and conical lube or patch lube all over us by the end of the day.... I love it...

I also started shooting flinters so Goex is a must. Actually I can tune a rifle a little better with the Goex and the cost is much nicer when you buy a case then it is getting a pound here and there. I shoot almost every day so I go through a lot of powder......
