First off...it's $199.99 at Cabelas...CLICK HERE to see...
Secondly, you don't rest all your weight on the steps. When taking the shot/standing sure you'll have most of your weight on a couple steps...but people
OWN THEM them say that they really comfortable to "sit" in....kinda like a hammock.
Personally...I can tell you that 98% of the climbers out there have the seat part on the top piece of the 2 pieces. So...while sitting all comfy....you see a deer...you then stand on the platform piece (which is just sitting there with hardly any weight on it)...as you put your weight on the platform it tends to shift or settle. I'll bet that at LEAST 75% of accidents happen during this transition from sitting to standing. That's why...I always say that the BEST climbers have the seat ONLY connected to the same piece that has the standing platform. To me...if it isn't set up that way...it aint worth 10 cents. Now how many people here got money into those SUPPOSED "high end" climbers? LOL
Anybody who has tried a climber with the seat connected to the platform KNOWS EXACTLY what I'm talking about. STABILITY is ALWAYS THERE...as is security.
I'm gonna try one of these slings. I go 230 pounds. I'll be sure to do a review for yas...
