I don't think you would have damaged it if you were at full draw. Most, if not all, companies test their bows by dry firing them. Granted, I wouldn't do it a lot nor do the manufacturers recommend it. However, most bows, especially yours, are very well made, and can take it.

[:@] I just put a new Hicks slide on my Liberty and like a dummy I went to draw it back to make sure everything was moving as it should ( [:@] with no arrow on the string [:@] )and I got about 1/3 of the way back and you guessed it, it got away from me. Everything looks fine. I don't think I had it back far enough to do any real damage but I also don't want to find out the hard way. What should I look for? I'm not a big fan of my closest BT dealer so I hate to take it to him to check it over. Do you think at that short of a draw it could have damaged anything?
