Not sure I understand that answer. I was under the assumption if there is a rule that opposes something then it can't be done. I did not read any rules opposing using something like that to get a better foot hold on bad peg placements in a muddy hole or something else similar. Are there fly by the moment rules floating out there that can be enfoced at any given time (or on a not so smooth day as you state in your reply) that are not posted in the rule book? Like I said I did not understand your answer. Can you please clarify? According to the rule book, Can it be used or not?
