I like both eyes open. Triangulation is what gives you depth perception....I feel that's very important. Also, you can see the whole critter, better anticipate it's next move(because you can see the whole thing) and focus more easily. I don't which is better, but I know what works better for me. My groups got tighter when I switched from one eye to both open.
