also remember its the horizontal distance to your target, not the hypotenuse of the triangle, i.e. your sight line, that is the correct distance to 'pin' on. in other words if it is 20 yds from the base of the tree to the target, and your tree is relatively straight, then use your 20 yd pin even though you may be 23 yds from the target when you are up in your tree.
