Default RE: 10 Gauge Shooters - Input Please?

I have shot an Ithica mag 10 for almost 20 years now and you couldn't pry it out of my hands with a crowbar! Its accounted for not only waterfowl and turk's but alot of fox and coyote too!Confidence is everything to me and that was my real reason for purchasing the gun.I didn't buy it to extend my barrel but I will say the thought of sendin 2 1/16 ounces of lead traveling at 1280fps does bring a smile to face knowing what it will do to gobbler at 35 yards!I load my own turkey loads and could make them even heavier and faster but with the pattern I'm throwing now I'm very satified. If your looking at wanting to shoot a 3 1/2 inch gun than buy a 10.Its much more comfortable than a 3 1/2 inch 12.Weight and an automatic will take alot of the recoil out.My wife can shoot mine. The downrange energy you can get from some of the faster 10 guage loads is quite incredible especially when you can see it work first hand on an animal like a coyote. The 10 obviously isn't for everyone but personally for me its the right choice. Its all about what your confident in and like 10 point said when that gobbler is inside 40 yards he aint gettin back up once I let the hammer down. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
