You can get a wind river scope (made by leupold) for under $300 and they are very nice glass. Not waterproof though, so if you plan on hunting a lot in the rain, not a good choice. For out west though, a great scope for the money.


Also, take a look at eagleoptics on the net. They sell just about everything (a big birding company) and they have their own label stuff that is reasonable and very good quality.
