I have owned 2 Wiemies and both were very good hunters.
A little boneheaded sometimes but as they got older they really mellowed. My first one was really protective of my kids, if I was outside and someone drove up to the house he was very friendly but if the kids were outside with out me nobody could get out of their vehicle. He would also walk down the long lane with my daughter to wait on the school bus. Once a pickup truck stopped and Doc attacked the man when he put his window down,don't know what he wanted but he sure was not going to bother my little girl.Another time I had some Amish doing some block work for me and when I got home the one worker removed a rag from his pocket and raised his 4' level to clean it off Doc ripped the whole ass out of his pants when he raised that level over his head, but he was with the guy all day and even shared his lunch. Guess he thought he was going to hit me or something.
