I planted a plot of Buck Forage Oats two years ago and also put in a smaller plot of Imperial Whitetail Clover in the same field. We saw deer in the clover a lot, but had few sightings in the oats. The oats did not seem to grow very well. I much prefer the Imperial Clover. These were my experiences and they may work better for you.
