I currently own a 2002 Mighty Mite and love the bow, however a friend of mine loves it too so we made a deal and I am in the exact same situation that you are in . I have a 27" draw also and I have made up my mind to get a new Patriot. The shorter brace height should not be a factor due to the longer A2A and our shorter draw cycle, in fact it could be and advantage to picking up a little more speed without giving up forgiveness.
