The new Bowtechs (VFT) have pivoting limb pockets, so dropping down your DW on a 70 lb bow shouldn't effect the "optimum" performance of the bow. Knowing that, I would opt for the 70lb models. As far as the choice b/w a Patriot or MM - that is all about preferences. I am very satisfied with my MM, but probably would have been just as happy with the Patriot. Either way - you are going to have a great quality bow, and EXCELLENT customer service.
