Good morning everybody,Do any of you have ,collect, shoot,or just buy old .22 single shot or repeater bolt action rifles? I try to get every single shot bolt I can find.I don't know why .Yesterday I bought a Remington model #514 I have not really shot it ( just once to make sure it worked).I see them on gunsamerica anywhere from $175 -$200 I was thinking that that is pretty expensive. Is there anything special about this model? I have a Remington Model 540 X ( finally) My buds and I go to the river and shoot the .22 rifles almost every day .We have a little game that is like progressive poker.Set up cans at about 50 yds. ante up a buck every body shoots you must knock the can DOWN If nobody knocks down the can you ante up again.If I shoot first and knock down the can everybody else gets their shot .If they don't knock down the can then I get the pot.The trick is you have to "rim" the can or blow dirt up on it. A center mass shot wont even move the can.BTW I only gave $40 for the 514 does anybody know much about this gun? I also have targetmasters,Anschutz,Revelation,Speedmasters, and all kinds of others.Thanks. (If you ever come to Danville come on out and play.We have a ball).........Swampdog
