Default RE: bow arm(HOW TO RELAX IT)

i have been shooting most of the year--come to find out that i am left eye dominant but have been shooting right handed for years. it was suggested that may be why.i know at times i take to long to get the pin on target focusing on trying to get that surprise release.i use a little bitty goose and have ti set just about as light as i can get it to keep the caliper head closed enough to pull it back.now if i am not getting a surprise release with out knowing to push my back musles together do you think i need to shorten my draw to accomplish it better.i mean most of the time i shoot well but know i can do better.i know a trigger release isnt the best way to go to get a surprise release.is there a trick to it to get it to work better. i thought about shortening my release about a 1/4 in to see if it would get better or maybe just adj. the release and making it shorter.how many really get that surprise release with a hunting release if they are not using a back tension type.
