what kind of pump do you use? how were you able to make sure the impoundment held water before you started the project?

i tried doing something similar to what you did, but it was pretty much a complete failure. i used a 195 gpm gasoline powered water pump, and built some berms in low lying areas. the ground just sucked up the water, it didn't hold.

now i'm using the land for a dove plot.
