I bought my wife a Franchi AL48 a few years ago and she loves it. it is extremely light weight, points goods, functions flawlessly, and is a beautiful shotgun. I did have to cut the pull back to 12.5" as she is only 5-4, and 110 lbs. The AL48 is recoil operated like the Browning A-5, thus the recoil is about as much as my wife wants to handle. But she is comfortable with it for a 100 or more rounds in a day. The Beretta's and the Benelli are certainly worth looking at and considerations as well. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these 3.
