Now my question,

Do any of you use a leather sling made in the traditional way attached to the stock via a leather sleeve/butt pad combo? It attaches around the muzzle with a leather strap only. No metal hardware at all, just leather lacing to hold it together.

I was thinking of making one from some scrap leather I have for the traditional look. Any advice on construction or tips?
