You sure can. Lyman used to make some really good receiver sights, and they might still do.
If you are thinking about having irons put on so you can get one of those nifty seethrough scope mounts, forget about it- just get a scope, the mounts aren't worth the metal they are stamped from, and they mount the scope too high.
