Nim - Boy, sounds like pretty tough conditions for the caribou. If there is a big die-off, I will recall the real reasons (and not the oil industry-related ones that will be touted by the "huggers"). The way I love 'bou meat, I hate to see any large-scale problems with that particular herd.

I saw one of those full, flat-wall mounted turkey down in Texas. It was certainly beautiful! Maybe if I get a nice Merriam in the future (and the weather isn't so damned wet and miserable at the time) I will take the time to skin it all out and try it. If the plumage is all intact, it would nake a great mount.
