Ward83, I think you have made a good choice. Consider going with the stainless model as it will be much more resistant to rust and other nastiness. Keep your action clean and the 10/22 will be very reliable. I love mine, but if I was going to change anything the first thing I would spend money on would be to improve the trigger. It is the weakest point of the gun to my way of thinking. I would do this before I got a better barrel or a fancier stock. Those Fajen stocks are pretty though. Good luck!
