The 7MM STW and 7MM RUM are both faster and hense more powerful. However I seriously doubt they are more practical to use. The 7MM rem mag is already a very long range cartridge and the number of folks that can actually squeeze out the added range potential of the more powerful cartridges are extremely few in my personal opinion.

I had a 7MM STW and sold it because I couldn't tell it was anybetter than my .270 Win. for deer and pronghorn. For Elk, I use a .300 magnum or a .338 Mag.
