I hate to even say how to do this.
Set a deer target at 40 set a pin on his back ,and one on its belly.there you go ,any deer target set at below or longer than 40you can tell.and a good majority of targets that are deer like will fit the picture.
I don't do this .I do have 5 pins and believe this would be a good amount to stop at in the MBR class. The shooter judging yardage in this fasion would have as many as six or seven pins i would imagine.I personally have to judge within a yard or 2 .My pro 40 with 27" draw is shooting 265 @ 60#.
This subject came up at the 3D range i shoot at by another shooter who thought he had seen this happening .And i just wanted to clearify the rule on it.
