Fat heads. Nightcrawlers even for small natives. I usually halve them and then thread them onto one of those hooks with a loooong shaft right up the line, leaving a bit on the line and hook ends to wiggle.
I also prefer Panther martins to other spinners. Seem to spin easier at slower speeds and in faster spring water and after rains raise the creeks stay down better than regular spinners. Junioprc.
