you take about 4-6 kernals of sweet corn hokk them on your hook, place a cople split sots 12-18" up your line and cast out. Then you just have t wath your rod tip for movement, the current of the rive will allow the corn on your hook to move around the 12-18" you gave it. dont know why they like it but the rainbows and brooks inhale the stuff around here. ad in still water you simply put a float on your line and cast out havong the corn b about 4-6' under the float. If you think im B.S. ing you ask your self why did berkely makea "corn" power bait this spring. but i swear by the stuff. i think part of the reason it out fishes other baits is that it is so smelly that the ois seep out and the fish can smell it from a long ways away.

Fat heads. Nightcrawlers even for small natives. I usually halve them and then thread them onto one of those hooks with a loooong shaft right up the line, leaving a bit on the line and hook ends to wiggle.
I also prefer Panther martins to other spinners. Seem to spin easier at slower speeds and in faster spring water and after rains raise the creeks stay down better than regular spinners. Junioprc.

like a few others said you just cant beat the gold and black panther martin here in VA. I also do very well with the silver one with the orange tail. A few other things i do well with is Berkly Power bait, yellow when its cloudy overhead and white when the suns out. Also with brown trout a few peices of corn with a pinch of worm is hard to beat.
