Check you arrows with a arrow spinner. Make sure that they are all spinning nice, as some arrows come with nocks/inserts incorrectly assembled and they don't spin true. Make sure they do, and then start up close again and try again.
Always make sure that you are entirely steady, using perfect form, and just squeeeeze the trigger. Paper tuning can show off any flaws in form.
Now, if you are still getting that tear, do a group tune. Start at 15 yards and use your 15 yard pin. Shoot the highest spot on your target. Shoot it about 3 times, then step back to 25 yards and shooting 3 more shots at the same spot with the same pin. Step back another 10 yards and shoot another 3 shots at the same spot with the same pin.
If everything is correct, your arrows should show up in a straight up and down line! If they are lined up at an angle, that will tell you to adjust the rest accordingly! This is actually a better test than just paper tuning. Remember to do it when you are shooting good though!
