I was going to build a shooters table but decided I wanted something more portable. I took a jack I bought at a garage sale for $3.00 some scrap 2X2 lumber, a chunk of water pipe insulation and a 1X6 and put this together. I have an old leather belt I am going to attach in the back as a recoil catcher, and the blocks inside the holding envelope keep the stock nice and solid.
You can adjust the elevation of the sight plane using the jack, and the platform is on a simple singe lag bolt so you can move the stand side to side. The back stock arms are custom made to fit me and the way I hold a rifle. Actually once your on target, you just need to slide in behind the rifle, make sure it is sighted, and then touch it off. I want to try some different loads out of the T/C Black Diamond XR at long ranges...
