RE: Air Rifles - What accuracy can I expect
Don't expect much at 60 yards. You really won't have enough energy for a crow even if you hit one that far. If you chrono that rifle you probably will find you aren't getting anywhere near that "1000 fps". Most manufacturers have found "1000 fps" is the magic number for sales. You'll find even the fastest airguns have a rainbow trajectory at 60 yards. And even the slightest breeze blows the pellets off target.
As far as accuracy alot depends upon the individual rifle. Actually the high velocity guns normally aren't as accurate as some of the slightly slower guns. I find my better airguns will shoot five shoots groups into about a dime at 25 yards when there's absolutely zero wind.
