RE: Primers...
Hello,
With rifle or pistol primers I have never noticed a diffrence from CCI or Win. Other than color(win are brass) and anvil thickness(CCI seem to be slightley thicker). The Anvil thickness does not affect about 99 percent of shooters.
I have a SKS and with win primers it will "Run away from me"(not stop fireing untill the mag is empty even if your finger is off the trigger!). This is Dangerous and definatly NOT cool. But with CCI primers this did not happen. I can buy special military type primers(Heavy anvil) and have no problems but with how cheap the wolf ammo is I just use that. Run away guns are rare, and it only happens with Semi Auto military guns. These guns have a harder firing pin hit(It must work evertime) and the reloading books will tell you to use military type primers. My dads sks only did this once with the win primers. His sks is like new and mine has fired at least 3000 times so maybe the gun needs work.
I use Remington 209 primers for my shotguns(I reload rem hulls).
I Generaly use CCI primers for everthing else.
Recentley I was at a gunshow and could not pass up some WIN primers. At $12/1000 I felt like I robbed the guy. I bought Large and small pistol primers and havent noticed any diffrence between win and cci primers. I even have used OLD win pistol primers in my 45acp and havent noticed a diffrence. With OLD I mean 40 year old wood box tray winchester primers that my dad had. They still work fine.
