Default Shot the new 7600 Pump today

I have been out several times during this less than ideal shooting weather trying to Zero in and test some loads for my new Remington Pump. It started out shooting about two inch groups with the cheaper WW factory 150 grain bullets. I have now run about 100 rounds through it and today I shot a 1.29 inch group. I think with a little more refinement I will get it down to about an inch. My loads so far have been mainly for velocity. I am getting 2860 from my 150 Nosler Ballistic tips and IMR 4350 powder. I may yet try a flat base bullet like the Hornady 150 grain Innerlock . I will try the 150 grain Sierra Pro-Hunter as well. I have had several of these Remington pumps and have always been able to get them to shoot one inch or less at 100 yards. I had one 270 Pump that would shoot just under an inch at 200 yards. The Browning A-Bolt stalker in 308 came in at one inch with the 150 Ballistic as well. .93 to be exact.

My new 260 shot 1.30 with a Varmit Load but shot pretty poor with Factory Rem. 140 grainers. Its only got about twenty rounds through it so far. The Varmit load will have to go under one inch or it won't be doing much varmit shooting. This was only the second real good shooting day we have had so far this spring. I was going to try it yesterday but when the wind blew an almost full box of 30-06 shells off the table, I gave it up.
