Your pickle sounds easier to jar than mine.
I have a 36" bow (mathews z-light) which measures 37" ata.
It's brace is supposed to be 6 1/2" and measures 6 5/8".

I'm not sure how to get it back to 36", 6.5" bh. Maybe I'd wind up w/ a 36" 7" brace!

As good as it's shooting I just decided to leave it be. It doesn't get used much anymore anyways. (my back ups- back up)
