RE: Sighting in a Elite 4200
Norco, as jagman said you have the adjustments down (each click is = 1/4" or 4 click = 1" at 100). I always start my sight in process at 100. Couple reason are:
a) 100 yards ranges are common
b) scope adjustments are easier at 100
c) ballistic calcs are common for 100 yards set ups
Now I never stop at 100, IMO it is essential to shoot/practice at the distances you intend to hunt with in the field. The ball. calcs are just a starting point, you should never trust if it says 1" at 100 will give you a 200 zero...the only way is to shoot that distance and make sure with your load and rifle!
