i mounted it on the rifle myself at 100 yards it was 7 inches high(28clicks) and 4 inches left(16 clicks)
this was out of the box new so there should have been no adjustments made previously
if you have the time i would take the scope out of the rings the rings off the mounts and the mounts off the rifle make sure there is no dirt burs or anything else hindering anything then put it all back together and try again
it also might just be one gun was opposite the other if the scope was set to compensate for left and high on the previous, and the mounts were high and right on the savage it can very easily double the difference
