Shoot how ever far you feel comfortable with. A deer never goes to waste. Foxes, racoons, buzzards and other scavengers rely on us hunters to feed them too. That dosn't mean to take a bad shot. It just means what it says, the little guys need to eat.

In reply to all of the negative post to this, the deer population is way out of control. Disease is next. The herds need to be thinned out or you will be shooting them and dumping them into a dumpster. Anyone here hunt in Wisconson? Chronic wasting disease is alive and well in some areas where this is now the norm. It is preferred to do it with the bow rather then the bumper of a car.
