I have noticed on some bows that they have a few nocksets placed on the string and shrink wrapped in place. All of the Hoyt's I have owned have had this. I just replaced the strings and cables on my Xtec but didn't place any on it. Actually, Winners Choice recommends them on single cam bows. Personally, I feel that the speed gain is negligable.
