Porting does not reduce recoil,it only helps control muzzle jump.Velocity loss would be next to nothing as the shot column has already reached its velocity by the time the gases exit the barrel.

One other thing:Porting,like any barrel compensator,INCREASES muzzle blast to the shooter.To some people this is acceptable,others it is not.
