I've taken about 1/2 dozen hogs of varying sizing using Sierra GameKings in .270. The furthest I've even had to track after the shot was about 15yds.

The Partition will be a good bullet to use. In fact about the only bullet I'd suggest you NOT use are the ballistic tips like the Noslers, Combined Technolgy (winchester), or Hornady SSTs. Had a bad experience with them on hogs, bullet exploded on impact..........hit it in the shoulder quartering toward me - the liver blew out the ENTRY hole and only part of the core came out the exit hole. Dropped the pig, but I don't like to rely on performance like that.
