Default RE: Locator Calls

Most of my turkey hunting land is public land. It's also usually "hunted out" by the local yocals before the opener![:@] Any turkeys that are left are already call shy to any call--turkey or locator. I've never had a response to a crow call and the owl hoots have only met with success a couple times in 15 years. When you try to roost a bird or locate one before first light, it's not uncommon to suddenly find the woods "alive" with owl calls coming from every direction. When any bird that gobbles finds the owls heading his way, he learns quick to shut up.
