Fish and Game got back to me today via email about the letter I sent to Mr. Moore. He said he would address my points in more detail in the next couple days. I'll post the response to this thread.

He did say the workshops would be held in April and a public hearing would be held in June before the Regs are posted in July.

Once we find out where and when these meetings are held, we DE Hunters need to attend. I dont mean just to go and raise hell, but to go and hear Fish and Game out. I admit Im a little bias because I feel October Shotgun seasons will greatly affect Archery Hunters quality time afield in a negative way. But, if F&G could truly prove that a thinning of the herd was needed for the sake of the deer, not special interest groups, I'd be more than willing to get out there and blast away. I just dont think there are that many deer out there and I really dont think that weekend shotgun seasons would get the job done long term. Yeah, the first year you'll catch them with their tails down, but after the first few days of shotgun blasts, they'll get smart and adapt. I dont know, guess we'll just have to hear F&G out and see what happens from there.
